Thick ethernet card problem

I got a dec alpha 3000 running osf/1 v2.0. I'm trying to configure 2
ethernet cards using netsetup. When I choose "show configuration" the
thick ethernet card doesn't show up. All I get is

        ln0
        sl0
        sl1

there should be a tc0. The thick is installed in turbo channel 0.
I have no documentation on setting up the thick net card correctly.

Any help, pointers, or directions?
