I recently had trouble rebuilding the kernel on a DEC 2100 4/200. I
solved this problem but now when I boot up I can't get the DECwindows/Motif
to come up. So I took the following steps.
I copied /genvmunix to /vmunix and booted the generic kernel.
Now the DECwindows/Motif came up? So then I rebuilt the kernel with
>doconfig
When I rebooted this new kernel the same problem occurred. I only got a
text/console mode.
I double checked that the console was set to graphics and it was.
I also checked the version of the SRM firmware and it's higher than the
version we have on CD.
Any suggestions?
