Is anyone running 600 concurrent users on an Alpha?

Hi,

We're thinking of getting an Alpha to run stock level enquiries on.
The enquiries would be simple price/quantity look-ups, so there wouldn't
be that much load on the CPU, but there would be about 600 people using
it at once. Does anyone here have any experience of using a system with
such a large number of users? What machine are you using, and is it up to
the job, or are you thinking of getting something bigger?

We're currently running a 4000-610 with about 200 users and the response
time is very good, so I'm guessing a 710 or 720 would be suitable. (But it
would be nice to know for sure before we go out and buy one) :)

Thanks in advance,
Steve
