NFS mount an OSF1 V3.2 from different subnet

Has anyone NFS-mounted an OSF1 V3.2 machine from a different subnet?

I am having problem to mount an OSF1 V3.2 machine from another OSF1 machine that
is on a different subnet (outside of a router). The error message is BAD MNT RPC
RPC timed out...

I noticed that what actually happened is the mount command causes this OSF1 V3.2
server to stop to respond to any NSF request for a few minutes. Without any
further action, the OSF1 V3.2 server will recover and work properly for ONLY
the NFS requests comming from inside the router.

I'm able to regenerate this BAD MNT error at all the time. This error message
also shows up on all of my OSF1 V3.2 machines inside the router. The same
mount command to an OSF V3.0 machine that is inside the route will work fine.

Just want to see if this is an OSF1 V3.2 bug or there is something I'm missing.

Thanks a lot.
