Hello,
I've just installed PPP on a DEC 3000/400 (OSF/1 3.2) and on a
AlphaStation 400 4/233. It's ppp-2.2b1. The two machines are connected by
a dialup line (I'm using /dev/tty00 on the 3000, and /dev/tty01 on the 400).
I can setup a connection, but as soon as I try to use the connection, an
error message is written to daemon.log bythe syslogd. The messages are as
follows (cut and paste!):

The Error "demuxprotrej" is produced as soon as I try to use the connection
by a ping from 131.152.105.4 to 131.152.105.3. Then I just kill the pppd's on
131.152.105.4, I can again start up kermit and are immediatley back in my
remote account. Does anyone have an idea what happens, and how to get a
working PPP connection between to Alphas with OSF/1 ??
