Dear DEC Unix Mgrs
First of all:
This list is real absolutly "mega" - fine !
We'd like to do following configuration:
On an AXP 3000/600 (DEC Unix V. 2.0 ) we have an ARC/INFO GIS
system running.
Now our goal is it, to populate several directories from this system
to an MS Windows NT Server running TCP/IP network communication.
This NT Server is our PC - File Server. The PC Clients are connected
over MS Windows for Workgroups.
We figured out the following solutions:
- Take NFS for Windows NT
Which product is the best ?
- Take Pathworks V for OSF/1
Does this work ?
Use somebody such a configuration ?
Now we heard about a freeware tool somewhere in the internet domain.
This tool seems to be an LAN Manager implementation, which alllows
you to connect filesystems in both directions.
AXP <----> NT
Does sombody know this pruduct ?
We would appreciate any hints shared on this subject and of course
we'll summarize to the list.
Many thanks.
Peter
