Dump problem to a TLZ06

Managers,

I'm having a problem with a TLZ06 4mm DAT off of a OSF/1 system running 3.0.
The tape device is the 2nd device after a 10 Gig disk drive that is on SCSI-2
external cable. I also have 2 internal disks on the same SCSI.
Also the external cable length is 6 feet total from the OSF box to the tape
drive.

I have had the following problem before and every time it has required
my FE to come out to replace my DAT drive.

I though it might be a cable length but I think I'm well under the 6 meter
limit.

Does any one have a software suggestion.
