performance tuning for SAP

Dear Managers,

We are running the SAP application on two 2100's and a 7720 using
OSF 3.2A + Advfs + LSM(mirroring) + Oracle7.

The tuning of these systems, which work in concert, is obviously a
very implementation specific and complicated thing and not something
which most of you would be prepared/able to comment on.

I was wondering though whether any of you who may be running SAP on
any OSF platform had any comments regarding things which helped your
performance. These of course may not be readily transferable to our
environment but then again might be just the pointer we are after.

So, anyone tweaked their kernel variables, extended their memory,
added more CPU's, etc, and found an SAP performance improvement?

Regards
