[Q] sendmail in 8bit mode?

Hello,

Is there any way to have the standard sendmail pass 8 bits (as it is
possible with the BSD one)? More often than not we receive (here in
France) or send text with accents (i.e., acute, grave, etc) and they
are wrongly displayed (if this character [i] shows up as [i] or some-
thing else, your mailer too doesn't do it "right").
