My problem was getting the following to run on my new ALCOR
machines (DEC Alphastation 600 5/266) :
SoftWindows (ran in B&W only)
mpeg_play (wouldn't run at all)
alphavcr (wouldn't play mpeg files)
The solution was simple and painless, but to one unfamiliar with
terms like "default visual class" was not obvious.

After making the above changes, the applications ran as they
