Hi,

We have an Alphaserver 1000 4/233 running Digital Unix 3.2. I am
interested in installing audio/video capabilites for multimedia video
conferencing. What kind of hardware is required?

For video, I am planning to use the new Full Video Supreme JPEG card.
Is there a sound card available? (Unlike the Alphastations, the
Alphaservers do not come with baseboard audio).

When I look at the literature for Alphastation 600 5/266 models, they
mention about an EISA-based audio card. What is the part number? Will this
work for Alphaserver?

I am assuming that Full Video Supreme card and the audio card will work on
the Alphaserver 1000 since it also has PCI & EISA bus slots. Has anyone
successfully used these on Alphaservers? Will the Multimedia Services V1.6
run on the Alphaservers?

PS: I am not able to get proper info from the local DEC sales people. It
has been almost 3 weeks.

Hoping to get replies asap.

thanx in advance
bye
rao
