Pathworks VT320 emulator problem

I'm using Pathworks VT320 v 5.0.093 under Windows 3.1 to login via
Telnet to a Unix machine. VT320 reserved Ctrl-S and Ctrl-Q for
flow-control (although this is unnecessary since TCP takes care of
buffering). The Setup-Communications menu has an option "XOFF point"
that includes "None" which, on a normal VT terminal, allows use of
Ctrl-S/Q as normal keys. However, in PW VT320, the XOFF point option
is available only with serial communications, not with Telnet.

Is there some way to fix this problem? I have looked through all the
menus without success. (I'm so used to using Ctrl-S for searching in
Emacs that this mis-feature makes the emulator almost unusable.)
