SUMMARY: Identifying Runaway Processes

Hello everyone,

 My questions were:

1.I am using syd to monitor the systems. How do I indentify if there is
a runaway process? When using top, a runaway process can be identified
by noticing the percent value under the CPU column; there is a runaway
process if its percent is more than 90. Would syd display similar
 results as top?

 2. Also how can I identify the available and used swap space?

Most aren't really familiar with syd because I suppose it is not widely
used as top. I got a few advice on question #2, but I guess I was not
too clear about the fact that how can you identify the available and used
swap space when using syd. All suggested to use the command swapon -s
in which I am quite aware of it. Monitor is really a great program, but
we also need a program that records and updates the usage of memory, swap
space, CPU by all processess on the system.
