ADVFS using a lot of memory

Hello All,

When I boot my system up, I get this message

Jul 28 10:16:53 regal vmunix: ADVFS: using 7003 buffers containing 54.71 megabyt
es of memory

I also examined the file /var/adm/messages and it contains the above
message sinnce Aug 25.

Will this create a problem with the memory in the system? We have been
running low of memory on the system, and we're trying to figure out
if it is the application or something about the system that causing
this to happen. Does this need to be fixed?

When I issue the command vmstat -M, I get the following:

I noticed that VNODE has a very large number to it. Is this for the
ADVFS? I am running DEC UNIX 3.2 on 3000/800. I installed AFAADVANCED320,
and I applied all the patches as suggested by Digital
Patch ID: OSF320-109,

Any ideas? Thanks
