We have a problem here and I was hoping someone out there could give me some
ideas. We have DEC Alpha 3000/300LX running OSF/1 3.0. Some of our users
connect via serial lines and run PPP and others connect from a terminal server
and run PPP. Both work just fine.
Recently we added another machine, a DEC Alphastation 200 4/100 running
OSF/1 v 3.2. When the users connect via the serial lines EVERYTHING works
fine. If they connect via the terminal server most the time we never get
through IPCP. Occassionally, we actually get connected but can not send or
receive packets. A route is set and traceroute does return the proper route.
PPP is configured the same on both machines. Does anyone know of differences
between 3.0 and 3.2 that would cause this?
Thanks!
