[Q] portmapper install problems

Hi,

Is there anybody, who did the public domain portmapper (from Wietse
Venema) successfully install? I compiled it without any errors, but when I
started the new portmap and tried to initialize the portmap table
(described in README), I get "non registered: xxxx" error messages, even I
disabled the CHECK_PORT feature in the Makefile.

I am using AlphaServer 2100 4/200 and DEC Unix v3.2
