Hello AXP users:
I have a user who is interested in getting some kind of audio interface
for his 3000/600 AXP workstation. Preferably it should be able to play
the .WAV files that accompany so many MPEGs today, as well as the various
other standard sound files. Also, it needs to be able to record sounds
from either a microphone or some other line level (maybe stereo) source.
Looking into the electronic store, I see the J300 sound and motion card
for the Turbochannel, which also requires software in the Multimedia
Support package to do the song and dance. Is this the only thing that
will provide high quality audio for the 3000 series?
(I also note that some of the new PCI Alphastations have this as
standard equipment. Cool.)
Thanks in advance.
