Yes to all of the above. There are two patches, OSF320-072 and OSF320-099,
that prevent this panic in 3.2/3.2a. Using dbx can exercise the bug leading
to the panic, so not using it might help avoid the panic; however, it is
not the *only* cause of the panic, so this is not a 100% workaround. And
finally, the bug is fixed in 3.2c.
