I upgraded my workstation to V3.2C yesterday, and have uncovered a
couple of irritants I'd like to do something about. I'm curious
if anyone else has encountered them.
1. My 'From' line in mail headers no longer reflects the
sender, but rather always says 'daemon'. For example, what
use to be along the lines of:
From oracle_at_imagebank.worldbank.org Mon Jul 24 16:43:08 1995
is now always:
From daemon Thu Sep 21 15:57:03 1995
When I'm in mail (mailx in this case), the headings display
properly:
17 tacadmin_at_worldba Thu Sep 21 01:03 25/1130 "Remote access
18 chris_at_osfsup.dex Thu Sep 21 05:33 52/2041 "[Q] How do you use SAP
19 oracle_at_imagebank Thu Sep 21 15:57 77/2581 "Oracle Layout"
but the 'from' command is useless:
From tacadmin_at_worldbank.org Thu Sep 21 01:03:51 1995
From daemon Thu Sep 21 15:33:45 1995
From daemon Thu Sep 21 15:57:03 1995

This loss of information in the 'from' command is especially
annoying.
In a vain attempt to do something about it, I reran mailsetup.
This made no difference.
Any ideas?
2. With the upgrade of CDE, several of the icons are no longer
there, and simply default to the standard, motif, 4-block icon.
Specific examples are the icons for Console, Style, Help
Manager, etc.
Although the lack-of-icons certainly isn't killing me, it would
be nice to have them back.
