OSF lpr requests causing NT lock up

I have recently upgraded from OSF/1 V2.0 to V3.0 and am now
experiencing a problem with lpr printing to an NT server V3.5 box.

I spool lpr printing from the OSF/1 box to the NT box with a printcap
entry as per below:

comm_ps|laser|lp1:\
        :af=/usr/adm/lp1acct:\
        :if=/usr/lbin/lpf:\
        :lf=/usr/adm/lp1err:\
        :lp=:\
        :rm=sabdarkg:\
        :rp=Commercial:\
        :of=/usr/lbin/lpf:\
        :sd=/usr/spool/lpd1:

This has worked flawlesly under OSF/1 v2.0 for months, NOW under V3.0
every now and then the LPD server on the NT machine complains about an
illegal format in command from the OSF/1 box (repeated many thousands of
times) and kills all LPD printing on the NT box (needs a reboot to fix).

Has anybody seen behavior similar to this ? Is it an OSF/1 bug in V3.0
that is triggering this behaviour in NT or the other way around ?

Thanks in Advance...
