Hi

I tried to add a 4G disk (RZ29B) into the storageworks attached to the
AlphaServer 2100. I did a "MAKEDEV rz3" to create the device files.

When I did a "file /dev/rrz3c", I got the following errors :
/dev/rrz3c: character special (8/3074) SCSI #0 RZ29B disk #24 (SCSI
ID #3) errors = 1/47

Does any of you know what is the problem ?

One more question.

There a a few slots on my storagework that can be used for plugging
disks. How can I determine the device number to be assigned to the slots ?

Thank you.

Have a nice day.

Regards
