Implications of adding daemon to another group ?

Hi all,

I am running an OSF mailing list server using Majordomo. I'd like to avoid
giving any of the configuration and list membership files world read
access, but can only do this by making the daemon user a member of the
majordomo group. Are there any security implications of doing this ?
