[S] repairing an AdvFS domain

I got replies from clare_at_cs.auckland.ac.nz (Clare West) and Barry
Lynam <b.lynam_at_qut.edu.au> who pointed me at
ftp://ftp.qut.edu.au/advfs. This directory contains a file which
provides some documentation for some of the programs in /usr/field. I
recommend anybody who runs AdvFS print it out and save it for an
emergency.

I talked to George Cebulka <georgec_at_remus.psc.edu> who was told by
Digital that its a good idea to have a dummy 'placeholder' fileset
available, because many of the /usr/field tools require that a fileset
be mounted in order for them to be run.

John Kohl <jtk_at_atria.com> told me that the AdvFS sources are not
included in the kernel source kit, so there's no hope of writing a
set of home grown utilities if we were to get a source kit.

In the meantime, I've re-created the domain from scratch, and done a
full vrestore. This seems to be the only sure recovery path when
AdvFS goes bad.

I'd like to thank everybody who took the time to reply. And if
anybody has any docs for /usr/field/mssh, I'd be very happy to hear
from them.

Thanks,

Drew
