Zeroing ethernet Interface counters and checking the NFS traffic

Hi DEC UNIX managers.

I'm trying to track down if the NFS traffic goes trough the
right ethernet interface

I have 3 Alphas with 2 ethernet interfaces tied together like this.

ECN_LAN----+-----+-----+----ECN_LAN
           | | |
           A B C
           | | |
           +-----+-----+ Local net

The subnetting and routing seems to work OK, but the
Local interface traffic rate
seems to be much lower and less than I expected.

I tried to check with netstat -r if NFS references goes trough Local
but the counters vary to much.

nfsstat does not show which interface is used for NFS transactions.

Also I can't find a way to zero the counters other than rebooting
which is not really an option.

So How can I zero the interface counters without shutting down the interface
or the whole machine and how can I trace which NFS transaction goes trough
the right interface ?

Thanx in advance.
