Hello,
I queried whether there is a POP3 client for Digital UNIX (or any UNIXes) or
not.
Following peoples kindly replied me:
Jens Hohmann (Jens.Hohmann_at_rz.ruhr-uni-bochum.de)
Michel Ringenbach (mir_at_curri.u-strasbg.fr)
Sean Watson (swatson_at_ultrix6.cs.csubak.edu)
J.James Belonis II (belonis_at_dirac.phys.washington.edu)
And I concluded that there is only few possibility to exist the POP3 client
(not server) for UNIX since any UNIX implementation normally can be smtp server
so basically we don't need to use POP3 client on UNIX. (But still I'm thinking
POP3 client for UNIX is good for UNIX users whose machine can be online only
once per week.)
By the way, Jens informed me about PINE (can be found on ftp.cac.washington.edu
in the file "pine/pine.tar.Z" accessible via anonymous FTP). It's not POP3
client but you may be interested in it.
Thank you for your attention,
Nobuhira
