Subject: dump problem
Status: RO

I am trying to make a tape backup on a tz5. I ran MAKEDEV tz5
and the file /dev/rmt0h was created. Then I tried to dump using

dump -0un -f /dev/rmt0h -b 32 /

but I get the error message

dump: Dumping from host borg.med.ecu.edu

I think I must be doing something stupid like missing
out a mounting step. Can some kind person clue me in

Thanks

Thanks to all the people who responded. As many people
pointed out the tape machine was not being recognized and
a kernel rebuild required. Another machine on our network
was configured to recognize the tape machine so we were
able to use

        rdump -3u -f another:/dev/rmt5h /filesystem

Thanks again for your help
