Hi folks!

I had some questions about running Digital Unix on a Multia.
Everything was running OK except for the small 17" screen I got,
and I was completely unable to change the screen size.

I got three responses:
erik_at_lenatest.rydnet.lysator.liu.se (Erik Persson)
gallatin_at_isds.Duke.EDU (Andrew Gallatin)
peterm_at_langmuir.EECS.Berkeley.EDU (Peter Mardahl)

They all either suggested that I change a file:
/var/X11/xdm/Xservers to contain
:0 local /usr/bin/X11/X -terminate -screen0 1280

and/or change some DIP switches on the graphics card.

The answer turned out to be:

There is a small group of jumpers on the Multia motherboard, located
below the PCI slot. Find them and pull every jumper out.
Voila, you now get 1280x1024 _at_ 72 Hz!

It was not necessary to change anything in /var/X11/xdm/Xservers.
