Perl 5 on OSF/1 3.2

I seem to be unable to get Perl 5.001 to compile and install properly on my 3.2
box. I got the Perl distribution off of gatekeeper just the other day.

Has anyone else ever ran into this same difficulty? Is there an "official"
Perl 5 dist for OSF?

I can provide the details of my problem if anyone would like to take the time
to examine them.
