Thanks to all of you and your quick answers
My question:
I am installing wu-ftp 2.4 and every thing seems to work fine but ls.
when I write ls -l I cannot see the owner and groups names of the files.
Instead i see the uid and gid.
The answers:
.- cp /etc/svc.conf ~ftp/etc/svc.conf
.- cd ~ftp/etc
mkpasswd passwd
and finally it worked doing
.- I think your problem may be that you haven't got
ls -lR ~ftp/etc/sia
total 6
-rw-r--r-- 1 root system 2191 Nov 17 1994 bsd_matrix.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root system 2254 Nov 17 1994 matrix.conf
-rwx------ 1 root system 0 Aug 10 1994 siainitgood
