[Q] advfs for news spool

Well, like most folk I just got bit by running out of metadata on
my advfs news spool.

Luckily I have enough spare disks to temporarily move the spool to
a different partition, which I'm in the middle of doing.

Does anyone have any sage advice about how to recreate the domain /
fileset for the spool?

I'm on OSF 3.2, which provides the '-x' switch to specify the number
of 8K blocks for the metadata on creation. I'm tempted to use something
like 8192, which should give me a 60Mb+ metadata slice, and be done with it.

The spool is 3 * 2.1Gb drives.

I've read all the archived mail on this subject, but am still confused!
For instance, with 3.2 (and the -x switch) is it necessary to do all
that touching of X million files?
