Hi,
I'm am trying to implment automount here as we have grown to the point
where dealing with multiple fstabs is ridiculas.
I've got a simple setup but things don't work unless the user logging in
is in the system group.
Here is my auto.master
#
# mount-point mapname mount-options
#
/- auto.direct -rw,intr
And my auto.direct
#
# key mount-options location
#
/usr/nfs/lang calvin:/lang
/usr/nfs/lang2 calvin:/lang2
/usr/nfs/local calvin:/local
/usr/nfs/app_work calvin:/app_work
/usr/nfs/pli erda:/pli
/usr/nfs/vmspli norns:/vmspli
/usr/nfs/hermes2 norns:/hermes2
/usr/nfs/doc freja:/doc
/usr/nfs/other thor:/other
/usr/nfs/applicon alice:/usr/applicon
/usr/nfs/lang3 wally:/lang3
/usr/nfs/oracle wally:/usr/oracle
Our home directories are /home/<user> and /home is a softlink to
/usr/nfs/local/home.
I can't see any priv problems but the user will not be allowed to log
in if he/she isn'tin the sytem group. The syslog doesn't have
anything in it despite starting automount with the verbose flag.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple but damn if I can see it after
playing with it all day.
Thanks for your help as always,
