Problems doing backups

Since upgrading to 3.2C I keep on seeing problems like the
following when doing backups:

dump: Write error -- wanted to write: 10240, only wrote: -1
slave_work(): write(): I/O error
dump: Write error - /dev/nrmt0h, volume 1, 9 feet -- cannot recover
dump: NEEDS ATTENTION: Do you want to restart this volume?: ("yes" or "no")

This is using a TLZ07 drive. I've tried new tapes and head-cleaning
but nothing seems to make much difference. `uerf' reports a hard
error.

Has anyone seen this or know of a solution for it?

Thanks,

Ray.
