weird crontab behaviour correction

Hi folks!

Today I wrote the following:

Since I got several mails in the meantime:
I did NOT manually edit the crontab files, what I did is:
crontab -l > file
vi file
crontab < file

and that's why I do not understand what the machine is doing.
