sendmail <-> UUCP Configuration

     Hi,

I've configured and establish a UUCP link between our mail relay
machine and a remote node. The mail relay machine is directly attached
to the Internet while the remote machine is contained within an
internal TCP/IP network. Both machines are UNIX. However, I'm not quite
sure how to properly configure the "sendmail.cf" file on the mail relay
machine to both send and receive mail on behalf of the remote machine.
Further, I'm also not sure what configurations are needed on the remote
machine to move messages to and from the mail relay machine beyond
issuing appropriate UUCP commands across an establish dial-up link.

        Question:

Does anyone have either configuration advise or know of
pointers to information on this subject?

The desired effect I'm looking for would go something like this:

        1. All inbound mail destine to <remote node>.<company>.com
would be accepted and queued into the remote machines UUCP inbox.

        2. The remote machine would dial-up and establish connection to the
mail relay machine and issue the appropriate command to retrieve
        all held messages.

        3. The remote machine would the distribute the batch of messages to
local users or forward on to other ether machines on its LAN.

        4. Additionally, the remote machine would be configured to transmit
all outbound messages to the mail relay machine.

        5. The mail relay machine would in-turn either deliver the batch
of messages either locally or forward to appropriate destinations.

The purpose of this configuration is to secure the remote
environment from the potential hazards of Internet connectivity while
     providing for E-Mail.

Any and all information regarding these configuration issues would
     be most appreciated.

     Thanks,
