Q: DECnsr forces reboot

Hi Managers,

A few times now we have had write tape errors causing a scheduled
backup to hang. DECnsr detects the write error and writes and end-of-tape
marker, but it does not unmount the tape. When we try to unmount the
tape (either from the nwadmin/networker interface or with "nsrjb -H") this
process will simply hang in kernel mode and block all further operation.
Turning the tape jukebox (TLZ6 DAT tape jb) on & off doesn't change anything.
Shutting down DECnsr doesn't help either. The process cannot be killed.
We are using Digital Unix 3.0 and DECnsr (NetWorker) V3.1.

Any help would be appreciated...

Regards,
Jan Talloen
