[Q] Using environment variables in printcap

I would like to use an environment variable in my printcap file.

i.e I would like to change the following entry:-

 :lp=/appl1/dc/pipes/coils_bar:\

to -

 :lp=${dc_printer}/coils_bar:\

Anyone got any ideas? I will summarize.
