I've just upgraded a 3000/600 machine with a PXG card to 3.2C.
Everything works fine except X, as soon as `xdm' starts the
system crashes with a `kernel write failure'. I recall that
despite the release notes this isn't supposed to happen and
that there is a fix for it. Unfortunately I can't find the
previous message which described the problem.
If anyone can point me towards the fix I'd be most grateful.
[I would try CSC first, but they're a lot quicker if I can
point them directly to a patch number].
thanks,
Ray.
