AXPerts:
I got SLIP working well enough to ping misc. addresses
on the internet. When I attempt telnet or ftp, even
initiating from Out There and coming into my machine,
the kernel crashes.
I have a kernel with <options SL> configured. rc.config
has ln0 and sl0 defined.
The sequence I use is:
reboot
kill slattach
ifconfig sl0 down
ifconfig ln0 down
tip on tty00 to remote host
slattach +e tty00 19200
ifconfig sl0 up
(netstat -i here fails to see sl0 or ln0??)
route add default <my slip ipaddr>
telnet .... Booom!
The kernel crashed in bcopy(), called from sl_uncompress_tcp()
Decstation 3000-400, 3.2c, 14.4kb modem.
Has anyone experienced this problem? How about a more convenient
startup sequence?
