my system is DEC 3000 400 with PXG card, with Dunix v3.2 with Open3D
installed.
[...]
but when I run some applications from SGI on my screen I got:
riad 2% /usr/demos/bin/bz
dgl error (protocol): remote machine not DGL capable - alpha.twins.pk.edu.pl:0
dgl error (default init): default dglopen(alpha.twins.pk.edu.pl:0,4) returned -13
Any idea?

and the answer is:
SGI has two versions of it's "Graphic Library":
GL: Used by many Programmers and vendors. It's defined by SGI itself
and there are only few others who have ports (IBM,SUN,?).
OpenGL: A complete new definition of the 3d-library with different
calls than GL. OpenGL comes from a consortium with many important
members (IBM,DEC,SGI,SUN).
DEC supports OpenGL not GL. So unless your application uses OpenGL,
you can not use it on DEC.
