The original problem in building libg++-2.7.1: I got the following error:
LOCK: -z ""
|| gcc -O2 -c -g -I. -I./../include argv.c -o pic/argv.o
sh: syntax error at line 1: `||' unexpected
*** Exit 2
The solution supplied by multiple people was to use GNUmake instead of DU's
make. It built like a champ with GNUmake.
