Hi
Recently, my DEC7000 has a corrupted ttys file and nobody can login the
server, including the console. It reply that terminal is not in the
database.
I reboot the system into single user mode and recovered back the ttys
file under the /usr/tcb/system directory. Is there any command to
rebuild back the ttys file for all the tty ? My system have over hundred
tty and I manually edit the ttys file to include all the tty.
Beside rebooting the server, how can we recover such situation when the
ttys file is corrupted. By the way, my server is running OSF1 v3.2b with
C2 security.
How does the ttys file become corrupted because this happens to my
DEC7000 three times within 2 years ?
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
Regards
