Hello fellow Alpha/Digital UNIX Managers!
Has anyone suceeded in getting GCC working? I have the DEC Freeware
version (2.3.3) but it is not the version I need to have to get other
things to compile. When I port over the latest and greatest version of
GCC (2.7.2), everything makes, compares, etc...HOWEVER, I do get this
error after stage1 compilation AND after every compilation after that...
------- cut cut error cut cut ------------
/usr/bin/ld:
Warning: Linking some objects which contain exception information sections
and some which do not. This may cause fatal runtime exception handling
problems (last obj encountered without exceptions was underscore.o).
------- cut cut error cut cut ------------
Not exactly a message that gives you a warm an fuzzy feeling about. Most
of the programs compiled with gcc does work, however, I am having
problems with *slirp* (v 95.h)...it does not work (though gives a clean
compile).
Any suggestions. BTW-I do have the DEC C Compiler for DEC UNIX 3.2. Any
patches I need?
