Software for audio for DEC 3400?

I have DEC 3000/400 running DU 3.2.
According to 'Owner's Guide',
"Audio support for DEC OSF/1 AXP systems is provided by XMedia, Digital's
distributed multimedia software development environment"

...and that's all.

My question is if there is any software (free would be the best :-) )
that would allow me to use audio port of my workstation?
