AdvFS Problems: kernel panic every access

We've got a very repeatable problem with an AdvFS domain. Any access
(showfsets
and mount, at least) to "ideas_domain" causes a freeze; rebooting with the
domain in the fstab causes a kernel panic.

There's another domain (and a swap partition) on the physical disk, and it
seems to be OK.

Any suggestions as to what to do?
