We are having problems with a SCSI disk. We are getting fsck errors like:
[gamma]# fsck -o /dev/rrz16e
/sbin/ufs_fsck -o /dev/rrz16e
** /dev/rrz16e
** Last Mounted on /usr/local/medept
** Phase 1 - Check Blocks and Sizes
CANNOT READ: BLK 7129648
CONTINUE? [yn]
Is this block number the same as the block number which scu uses for
reassigning blocks? With SunOS, we could reassign a block without
reformatting the disk. Is this the case with DU 3.2c? Or is it better
to reformat the drive? Any advice would be much appreciated. I am an
experienced UNIX sysadmin, but have not had disk problems under Digital
UNIX before.
