[Q] Changing resolution in X

Having installed a new video card and monitor (Digital Mach64 video card
and a Digital 21" monitor) I'd like to kick this Alpha into 1280x1024
mode, but cannot find documented anywhere the procedure to do this. I've
searched the archives with no help.

Any info would be appreciated.
