First, thanks to all the people who responded so quickly to my backup
question... I did a full backup this morning, and everything works fine.
Second, I have been getting the following message in
/var/adm/logs/syslog.dated/whatever-date-it-is/mail.log for a while now:
Jan 27 16:00:54 localhost sendmail[13462]: alias database is out of date
this message repeats itself every 15 minutes. I did the obvious thing
and ran newaliases, but that didn't help. I figured maybe the files were
corrupted, and moved aliases.dir and aliases.pag out of harms way and ran
newaliases again, but the messages continue. the aliases file has only 3
or 4 aliases (the normal system ones (root, nobody, etc..) and one that I
created that aliases webmaster to www.
any ideas?
thanks
Scott
