attached mail follows:

    Dear Gurus,

We have just installed an HSZ40 on our 2100/275 running DU 3.2.

The controller has been configured, and we have created device
    files using mknod:

    mknod /dev/rzb8a b 8 16448
    mknod /dev/rrzb8a c 8 16448
    mknod /dev/rzb8b b 8 16449
    .
    .
    .
    mknod /dev/rrz8h c 8 16455

The controller is on scsi1, target 0.

The raid set is sub-LUN 1 on the HSZ40.

When I attempted to run disklabel on /dev/rrzb8a, it returned with
an error that "rzbboot" could not be found in "/mdec".

I created links for all of the "rzb" files in /mdec to
corresponding "rz" files. The thing is, I did this on a hunch and
the Digital Service Rep thinks that this may cause trouble later
(doing something not in the manuals). I was able to do a
disklabel after that and things seem to be fine (created AdvFS
    domain and can use it).

Does anybody no if there is a better way to set up the device
files and disklabel for the HSZ40 array?

    Regards,
    Mandell Degerness
