LAT keepalive timer for DU?

Is there such a thing as a LAT keepalive timer for DU as there is in the
VAX/VMS world?

Our users are hogging LAT ports by simply typing...

        LOCAL> CONNECT

Login: (and they sit there indefinitely, or until they
                         wish to login again)

The login prompt never times-out. This is a problem because our users first
connect to a PBX and the PBX finds an available server port to make the
connection.

I couldn't find any programable timers to control this through LAT.

I tried adding "-t 20" for the LAT gettys in initab and did the "init q"
to have initab re-read and no luck. The "-t 20" *should* tell getty to
die after 20 seconds.

lat620:34:respawn:/usr/sbin/getty -t 20 /dev/lat/620 console vt100

Any ideas? Patches? etc..

Thanks.
