Many thanks for all the replies to my question about having to delete
a previous version of a product before installing a new version.
The concensus was that a "good" setld install procedure should perform
this function automatically. Some do, some don't. A good setld script
takes a significant amount of time to perfect, so some developers scrimp
on a quality script. (Note: No installs I've found will let you re-install
the current version, without first deleting the current version. There is
no - "do it again option" for setld. You might want to do this if you
suspect one of the files is corrupt for instance.)
